Bethel Lutheran Church holds worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
We utilize the Principles for Worship as outlined by the ELCA, published in 2002. Our liturgy (order of worship) is printed in bulletins each Sunday for the congregation’s use. Hymn selections are within the cranberry Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) book located under the chair in front of you in the sanctuary.
We take communion on a weekly basis and participate in an ‘open table’ policy meaning that all baptized persons who believe in the sacrament of the bread and wine are able to accept communion. We offer traditional leavened bread and gluten free wafers. Young children and those preferring a blessing to communion are also welcome to come forward and with arms crossed, will receive a blessing from the presiding Pastor.
All children are welcome in worship. They are a valued part of this faith community. In addition, Bethel’s nursery (for children up through four years of age) is staffed at the 10:30 a.m. service. This is available to meet the needs of your family and the worshiping needs of the congregation. This includes a “Parentseeker” paging system for optimal communication between nursery and parents worshiping in the sanctuary. Children’s bulletins are also available for younger children to help them make age appropriate connections with our weekly themes. We also have video monitors in the hallways if your child gets a little restless or distracted.
